December 24, 2011 8:00 am: It has been another awesome year for us and we are so grateful for the patronage of our customers. We are looking forward to growing in many ways in 2012 - adding product, classes and more! As a matter of fact, we will be having a guest artist each month teaching a class such as Jan Teaford in January, adding Art On Consignment from various local artists, adding Material and Thread as well as premium knitting or crocheting yarns in the Spring and increasing our Antiques that can be used in your art space, at home for storage, decorating and more. We are always looking for the unique scrapbooking and artist papers and are committed to growing our scrapbook line as well. Please help us by passing on our newsletter to your friends, telling people about our shop and our website. Our online shop will be growing as well in 2012 with free shipping at times. Thank you again for a great year. Delores, Kurstin and myself (Tammy) wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Hope to see you soon in the shop!
August 18, 2011 7:30 am: We have a brand new look to our website that features Cavallini paper as part of the design! The papers you see in the right hand corner at the top of the page are for sale in the shoppe right now! We hope that you like our new website with updated pictures, information and more. We will be at the Great Darke County Fair this coming week, August 19th - 27th. Our booth is in the Coliseum along the South Wall. Come out and see us - we would love to see you! Our Fair Special is the Cuttlebug machine - $20 off the regular price - for Fair week it is only $69.99. We have tons of embossing folders, die cutting plates, and accessories for it. We will show you how to use it and help you whenever you have questions. You don't get that from the Megastores. During Fair week, our shoppe hours will be a bit more limited. We will definitely be open 10 am - 2 pm but if you plan to come out after those hours, give us a quick call so we can assist you. Soon, we will begin stocking brand new Fall and Christmas papers, stickers, and embellishments - get a head start on your cards and scrapbook pages. All for now, see you at the Great Darke County Fair!

March 6, 2011 12:30 am: Press Release! Artifacts Ink is pleased to announce the relocation of its retail store to 519 S Broadway in downtown Greenville. The store will open to the public at the new location on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. A Grand Opening Day celebration with special promotional events and activities is scheduled on Saturday, March 12 during the hours of 10:00am- 5:00pm.
Artifacts Ink first opened its doors to the Greenville community in June of 2009. The store’s scrapbooking, stamping and paper crafts products and hosted activities struck a chord with customers, soon making the store’s original location at 203 W. Main Street too small.
The business is the brain child of Tammy Fox, who along with help and support from her husband, Dan and mother, Delores, operates Artifacts Ink. “The business began out of my love and passion of a hobby gone wild,” said Fox. “It just seemed the natural move,” said Fox. “After 13 plus years, you might think it would get old but I still love finding new items or ideas to bring back and share with a customer. We’ve needed room for some time now. I’m very excited about the opportunities and what it will mean to our customers.”
The move to the larger building on S. Broadway will allow for expansion of the store’s existing inventory; specifically in the area of its art supplies and vintage items product line. The larger floor space of the building will also bring the opportunity to host classes, crops, workshops and make n’ take activities for a larger number of participants in one setting.
New hours for the store will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10:00am-7:00pm, Friday and Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm. The store will open to the public on Wednesday, March 9, 2011. The Grand Opening will be Saturday, March 12, 2011 with special promotional activities and events, including a FREE make n’ take class led by Designer Kimberly Conlin from 2:00pm -4:00pm.

March 27, 2010 9:42 am: Wow! Just got back from the Memories Expo in Columbus yesterday. Wish I could be there today too! I brought back a product new to me, Mudd Puddles! They are these great littel jars of thick sand-like material with the adhesive already in it! You just smooth this over any chipboard, grungeboard, paper, glass, acrylic, whatever, and let it dry! It comes in many colors, some very limited at this time. The texture and look is amazing! I cannot wait to make samples for you! It will be great for your summer and vacation scrapbooking! I also "discovered" a lot more new products that we will be carrying in the shop soon so be sure to check back often. We are having our first daytime crop today! September 30, 2009: 10:37 pm: Be sure to check out the October classes! There are 15 classes offered and 2 crops! We have only 1 more spot for the Exploding Box class Thursday night. Christmas papers are now in the shop - some brights and lots of vintage Christmas designs. There are also new Fall papers including cute Woodland animals - owls, squirrels, etc. So cute. See a mini journal I designed below using a page of journaling squares, fall paper, tea dye, twine and artificial leaves cut from a Fall garland. It turned out so cute. Come in and see it at the shop and I will show you how to make one for yourself! Hope to see you this weekend!
This cute journal is so easy to make! Stop in and we will show you how. Document Homecoming, Fall fun & activities and Halloween memories!
September 20, 2009: 11:37 pm: Thank you for a great weekend at the shop! The alcohol ink class was well attended and everyone seemed excited about what they created! Our Friday night crop was well attended also & I am very thankful for getting to know such nice women in our community. Saturday's lunchbag album turned out with a Fall theme. We decided to take a lot of Fall pictures including the leaves turning, kids/pets in the piles of leaves and other seasonal pictures. We also decided to collect some beautiful red, yellow, orange leaves to put in the album and in the pockets we created. This class will be repeated. Then today, Sunday, was sewing embellishments. My sewing machine worked perfectly (always worry a bit about that) and the ladies made an embellishment and a tag from material, toulle, paper, twine, and buttons. I was glad to get the October classes posted tonight on the website. October will be packed full of Fall/Autumn themed classes. I plan a few Thanksgiving classes for November and begin a whole month or more of Christmas themed classes. If you have any suggestions for November and December, please send me an email and let me know! I am looking for ideas! Check out the October class list and hope to see you in the shop next Thursday to Sunday!
September 13, 2009: 12 Noon: Getting ready to finish up some laundry, make lunch and then head into the shop at 2pm. Last night there was a huge Car Show downtown! They had over 400 cars registered and with the great weather, it appeared to be a great turnout. We had a recipe book class yesterday with 4 participants. They did a great job with their vintage recipe books. More Fall papers will be in this week as well as Christmas papers. It is not too early to begin thinking about making your Christmas cards. In the Alcohol ink class we will be showing you how to easily make beautiful stamped and inked Christmas cards. I will be posting October classes soon which will include some repeats of previous classes by request as well as some new techniques and a cute mini album. Come in soon for a visit!
September 2, 2009: 11:12 pm: Wow! What a busy week! I got the Cricut Cartridge Rental policy and forms put together this past week. There are about 9 different cartridges available at this time but we will be adding more each week if the program is going well. We also added an Artist Trading Card corkboard to the shop for those artists who like to create ART on a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" card. This may start off slow but I think it will grow and I am anxious to see your creations. For more information, stop in and we will help you. Since school is back in session, my Mother, Delores, will be helping out in the shop on Thursdays and Fridays 10 am - 3 pm. Good 'ol Mom! What would we do without our Mothers? I have a great one! There is a crop on Friday night and it looks like it is going to be fun! Call if you are interested in coming - only 2 spots left. I am going to be planning the October classes this coming week. If you have a request, please email me so I can try to get your request scheduled. We have new Fall and Halloween papers & embellishments in and Christmas paper & goodies are on order! Where has this year gone? Exactly why we need to scrapbook the moments because they are so fleeting and time just continues to speed by quicker every day! Hope to see you this weekend!
August 24, 2009: 11:07 pm: I just got done marking some beautiful Fall papers and Halloween papers. The die cut pumpkin paper and black/orange glitter paper is my favorite! I also got in today lots more flowers, Mica sheets, and nice Fall journaling boxes. I rearranged the shop quite a bit Sunday to get it ready for Autumn/Fall. Where did this summer go? I was at Hobby Lobby 2 weeks ago and they had all the Christmas decorations out! Wow! I am not ready to think about that at all. I want to just enjoy one season at a time. The leaves are really falling especially since it is so dry. I am going to experiment in September with making cards and embellishments using items from nature such as leaves, feathers, flowers and ink on paper and material.
We took our daughter to the University of Akron this past weekend. Of course, I miss her already. With our oldest son at Wright State and now her in Akron, we will have to get used to less busy-ness and noise in the house. A lot less laundry, too! Our youngest daughter has some adjusting to do as she has never been with just her parents and no brother/sister. She seems to be doing just fine. :)
I have so much scrapbooking to do! How about you? I love to journal but it can be time consuming. Do you have any tips for putting a scrapbook together efficiently? Email me and I will post your ideas here to share! artifacts.203wm@yahoo.com Happy Scrappin! Tammy
August 19, 2009: 7:29 pm: This is my first posting to my first blog! Tonight, (even with Tornadoes spinnning), I am sorting buttons, updating my website and looking for ideas for upcoming card classes in September. I also placed an order tonight for new product. I had a request from a customer for Metallic Rub-Ons which will be in soon. They are little pots of colored metallic cream. They are dry enough to rub on with your finger tip on your project. It really brings shine and bling to any project! I also ordered more stitched paper that is really beautiful and new gorgeous 3D flowers. I love new stuff - so many possibilities!
I am also working on the forms to put together the rental of Cricut cartridges from the shop. We will start those rentals around September 1st. I hope to have a really nice selection for everyone.
Fall and Halloween papers and embellishments will be in soon.
I cannot believe how incredibly fast this summer has went! I have been so busy with work and the shop, that time has flown by quickly. Any ideas how I can slooowwww time down? I wish there were a lot more hours in a day!
On a personal note, I will be taking my 2nd child, Amanda to college in Akron on Friday, learning the meaning of "bittersweet". I am sure I will be taking lots of pictures of her first move from home to dorm. I wonder what kind of scrapbook I will do for this event? Maybe a special smaller book that I can Zutter. I love mini-album projects. But putting this together will not make it any easier to let her go...
What projects are you working on right now? Send an email to artifacts.203wm@yahoo.com with your current project(s) and I will post your first name and your response on my blog - maybe we can share ideas this way with each other!
Keep on Scrappin'! Tammy
